Hi, I'm Swetha 👋

I'm the founder of OpenSesameTravel.in, and I love to travel. I've explored a few countries on my own, without a travel agent. I planned every trip myself: the routes, the stays, the tickets and the day-by-day itinerary. Those trips gave me some of my favourite memories. They also showed me just how hard the booking part can be.

The problem I kept running into

The tickets I wanted most opened on dates I didn't know about, sometimes at odd hours in another country's time zone, and many sold out within minutes. The official information was scattered across different websites, often hidden deep inside long pages.

Every search also showed me look-alike websites, "agents" on social media and too-good-to-be-true offers. Again and again I found myself asking the same two questions: When do bookings actually open? and Is this link really the official one?

Closer to home, I saw families face the very same worry with pilgrimages. Booking a helicopter seat or a darshan slot for parents meant refreshing pages, asking relatives for links, and hoping not to land on one of the fake websites that have cheated so many pilgrims.

How OpenSesameTravel was born

I kept thinking: what if someone simply told you when bookings open, and pointed you to the one genuine link to book on? No guesswork, no fake sites, no last-minute panic.

That idea became OpenSesameTravel. The name comes from "Open Sesame", the magic words that open the door in the old story. For me, it's about opening the door to stress-free planning, so you can spend less time worrying about bookings and more time looking forward to the trip.

What this website does for you

  • Tells you when bookings open, shown in Indian time, with local time for trips abroad.
  • Shows only genuine, official booking links, clearly marked, with no tracking or hidden codes.
  • Sends you alerts by email, Telegram or WhatsApp, so you're ready the moment bookings open.
  • Explains how to book safely, with step-by-step notes, documents to keep ready and scam warnings.
  • Shares practical tips to help you plan your domestic and international trips with ease.
  • Checks suspicious links with our free fake booking site checker before you pay.

Whether you're planning a Char Dham Yatra for your parents or chasing hard-to-get museum tickets in Japan, I hope this site makes your planning simpler and safer.

My promise to you

We never sell tickets or take booking payments. Every booking link I list is the official one, and if I'm not yet sure about something, I'll say so clearly instead of guessing. If you ever spot something outdated, tell me and I'll fix it.

Happy travels,
Swetha

How we verify facts

  • Booking links are taken only from the organisation's own official website or official announcements.
  • Each guide shows a "Last verified" date. Information we haven't confirmed yet is clearly marked.
  • Official links are plain addresses with no tracking or affiliate codes.
  • Alerts are switched on for a booking only after we have verified its date and official link.
  • If something has changed, please use "Report outdated info" on any guide. We fix reports as quickly as we can.

How we make money

Some hotel, eSIM, insurance and tour links are affiliate links, clearly marked "Affiliate". If you book through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Official booking links never carry affiliate codes. Read our affiliate disclosure.
